Ah yes, the bible on the "marriage of one man with one woman": I remember back at college hearing a distinguished academic theologian telling us how he had been rapidly shunted off from a talk given to a girls' school where he pointed out that bigamy was nowhere proscribed in the bible....I don't think he was ever invited back.
